Corvette Cleveland Scholarship Program Application Process


Welcome! Getting started on the application process is pretty easy. We're going to walk you through all the steps required and we'll be explaining everything along the way. There's going to be a little effort required on your part, but we're confident you'll breeze through to the end in no time at all.

You can read through each of the steps outlined below and when you're ready to complete one, just click the I'm Ready » button and we'll get you through that step.

Important!

Most importantly, we need to verify your eligibility in order to get you off and running. After successfully completing and submitting the eligibilty information requirements, our verification process will provide you with all the information you'll need to guide you through the remaining steps. Make SURE you apply for your Applicant ID as the very first step. Click Create My Applicant ID to get started. Once you have been emailed your Applicant ID. You will have to enter it in Step 1 in order to complete the other steps.

Application Process Steps


All steps must be completed and submitted by May 1st.

Step 1 - VERIFY MY ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility to the Scholarship Program is available to the children and/or grandchildren of a Corvette Cleveland club member. The club member will become your Sponsor.

Your selected Sponsor must be qualified. They must be a 2 year member of the club AND be a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs.

You will need to enter the following information when applying for eligibility:

  1. Your Sponsors First and Last Name.
  2. Your Sponsors Email Address.
  3. The Last 4 Digits of your Sponsors NCCC Number.
  4. Your First and Last Name.
  5. Your contact Email Address.

It's a good idea to talk to your Sponsor before you apply for eligibility so they will be prepared when they are contacted by the club. When you are ready to complete this step, just click I'm Ready.

You will receive a confirmation email that the process is underway. Once your Sponsor is contacted and gives their approval, you will receive another email indicating that you are now eligible to proceed. That email will also include any instructions you will need to get started.

Step 2 - GATHER AND PREPARE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

The Scholarship Committee requires a number of documents needed to assess your candidacy. The actual total will be 7 (SEVEN). Getting started early with the task of collecting your supporting documents will help expedite the entire process.

Review the list below. All documents MUST be submitted in PDF format. You will submit them one at a time using our upload process. Just make sure you have entered your Applicant ID whenever you attempt a document submission. Without the ID, the document transfer feature will not be available.

  1. Obtain an official copy of your high school transcript.
    NOTE: If you are already attending a college, please send your official college transcript.
  2. Obtain a copy of your Acceptance Letter to an accredited trade school or college.
  3. Provide 3 (THREE) letters of recommendation. Letters can only be written by teachers, employers, guidance counselors and clergy. Letters from relatives will not be accepted. The letters must provide the address and phone number of the person writing the letter. They must also state their occupation and how they know you.
  4. Compose an essay explaining why you feel you should be considered for this award. The essay should be at least 300 words, but not more than 500 words. Include in the essay a clear statement of your career goals.
  5. Compile a list of your involvement in extracurricular activities while in high school or college.

* DO NOT COMBINE DOCUMENTS INTO A SINGLE PDF. EACH DOCUMENT WILL BE SUBMITTED AS A SEPARATE ITEM.

When you're ready, and your Applicant ID has been entered, click I'm Ready to start the document transfer process.

You will be able to immediately review the documents you have submitted.

Step 3 - COMPLETE THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM

When you're ready, and your Applicant ID has been entered, click I'm Ready to proceed to the Scholarship Application Form.

You will be notified by email that your Application Form has been accepted.

Step 4 - SUBMIT MY APPLICATION


When all of your documents have been posted, and you have completed your Application form, indicate you are ready to submit your application packet by clicking Complete My Application.

Once you submit your application, your Applicant ID will be deactivated. No further changes can be made to your packet.

You will receive an email confirming the status of your Scholarship Application Packet. As your packet is processed by the Scholarship Committee, you will also receive updates on your progress.

Ultimately, you will receive a final email indicating whether your application has been accepted or rejected by the Scholarship Committee. That email will provide a complete explanation of the Committee's decision and final result.
